BROWNIES

Ingredients:
½ cup butter (1 stick) + a small amount to grease the pan
4 ounces unsweetened chocolate
4 eggs
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup flour
Procedure:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Grease (with a small amount of butter) and thinly coat with flour, a 9 by 13 inch baking pan.
3. In a double boiler, or a metal bowl placed on a pot of boiling water, melt butter and chocolate together. When melted, remove from heat and set aside to cool completely.
4. In a large bowl, beat eggs. Add salt, sugar, and vanilla to eggs, and beat well.
5. Add cooled butter/chocolate mixture to the large bowl of egg mixture. Stir just until mixed.
6. Add flour and stir just until mixed.
7. Pour into prepared baking pan and bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
8. Allow to cool 5-10 minutes before cutting into bars.
